Soloevent.id – Fans have been waiting for Solo Batik Carnival return, and now it is on its way back!  SBC will carry the theme Suvarnabhumi: The Golden of ASEAN. On July 27, the participants will wear a batik design in Southeast Asian countries pattern.

In a press conference at Pendhapi Gede Surakarta City Hall, Surakarta Mayor F.X. Hadi Rudyatmo explained that the Solo Batik Carnival was an attempt by the Surakarta City Government to introduce Solo to International as a performing arts city.

“Bali is the world Primadona. Through SBC, we want to show about Solo internationally. The Tourism Office has also submitted to UNESCO that Solo as a performing arts city,” Rudy said on Friday (07/12/2019).

Besides that, Rudy hopes that the theme “Suvarnabhumi: The Golden of ASEAN” can make a network between Solo and countries in Southeast Asia.

Here, a culture of Southeast Asia will be explored through music and dance.

Regarding the Grand Carnival, Head of the Surakarta City Tourism Office Hasta Gunawan explained that the Grand Carnival SBC XII route has a bit change. Almost 150 participants will attend this event. It is a series of Solo Batik Carnival XII. On July 28, there will be the best costume award. So, don’t miss it!
