Soloevent.id – KLa Project has long history music in the country. The band that has released 9 albums consists of Katon Bagaskara (vocals and guitar), Romulo “Lilo” Radjadin (guitar), and Adi Adrian (keyboard).
Formed in 1988, “KLa” is a combination of the first letters of the name / call of each person. Why is the “a” small? In the past, KLa had two personnel who started their names “a”, namely Adi and Ari.
Under the Aquarius Musikindo label, KLa Project released its first album with pop rock music. Their hit song was titled “Rentang Asmara” and “Tentang Kita”.
KLa Project is making new nuance in the world of Indonesian creative pop music. Katon et al. bring fresh music with a touch of dynamic techno pop.
KLa Project has romantic and melancholy works that loved by their fans – commonly called Klanese. The uniqueness of the instrument plus poetic lyrics became the strength of KLa.
They are fairly productive in issuing works. In the 1990s, almost every two years, KLa Project released albums, such as Pasir Putih (1991), Ungu (1994), V (1995), KLakustik 1 (1996), KLakustik II (1996), Sintesa (1998), and Klasik (1999).
In 2003, the band changed its name to NuKLa because having new personnel. However, it is not long then Katon decided to re-use the name KLa Project.
Well, if you miss their song, you can come to the Memorable Concert KLaboration at the De Tjolomadoe Concert Hall, Saturday March 30, 2019 starting at 6:00 p.m. WIB. Concert tickets are sold for IDR 250 thousand to 1 million. On the event, KLa will collaborate with two musicians, Rendy Pandugo and Midnight Quickie.
