Soloevent.id – Grebeg Sudiro is an activity held by Sudiroprajan Village, Jebres, Solo. This activity is an annual agenda for welcoming the Lunar New Year. This cultural event is a picture of tolerance and harmony between ethnicities and interfaith believers in Solo, especially in the Sudiroprajan Village.
Chairperson of the Committee for Grebeg Sudiro 2019, Angga Indrawan said, the theme of this year’s event was Unity to Diversity.”The Sudiroprajan community has been mutually tolerant in this regard,”he explained when met by Soloevent, Tuesday (1/29/2019). This year is the 12th years for Grebeg Sudiro.
In Grebeg Sudiro, there are many activities. One of the highlights is the Cultural Carnival. This time, the event will be held on Sunday (03/02/2019), starting at 1:00 p.m. from Pasar Gede.
What is unique about the Cultural Carnival is the distribution of thousands of Keranjang cakes. The typical Lunar New Year cake is one of the culinary potential of Sudiroprajan Village. At the carnival there will also be Keranjang cakes processions. Uniquely, the Keranjang cakes is contained in a jodang in the form of an iconic landmark of Solo. At the end of the carnival, the Keranjang cakes will also be contested.
Besides the Cultural Carnival, the activities that will be held are ornamental boat tours (January 27-February 5), potential bazaars (January 27-February 5), Performing Arts (January 27-February 5), Umbul Mantram (January 31), Lively Chinese New Year (February 4), and Vlog Contest (January 27-February 3).
Well, specifically the Vlog Contest, this is a new innovation that was carried out by the committee Grebeg Sudiro 2019. The winners of the competition will get IDR 1 million (First Place), IDR 750 thousand (Second Place), and IDR 500 thousand (Third Place).
Angga explained that the maximum duration of a vlog is three minutes. The material is themed “Grebeg Sudiro and Harmonization in Diversity”. Keep in mind, videos may not contain SARA elements. Participants then upload the vlog to their respective YouTube accounts with the phrase “Vlog Competition Grebeg Sudiro 2019”.
For participants domiciled in Solo, they can register at Sudiroprajan Village. The winner will be announced on February 4, 2019 at the Lunar Night Lively Stage in Pasar Gede. The winner is also reported on the official Grebeg Sudiro Instagram.
