Soloevent.id – The lion dance or liong performances are a distinctive performance that adds to the excitement of the Lunar New Year atmosphere. Although identical and thick with Chinese culture, but everyone can be a lion or liong player.

For example like the Tripusaka group from Solo. Based on the narrator’s statement, Adjie Chandra, out of 60 more Tripusaka members, only 10 percent were of Chinese descent, the rest were Javanese.

The Tripusaka group, which was founded in 1999, carries three missions, namely ritual, entertainment and sports. Realizing that its members have diverse beliefs, Tripusaka does not force its members to perform ritual missions.

“They see from art and sports. If the ritual is not,” Adjie added.

To diverse tribes and religions, members of the Tripusaka are also filled with various ages. It is starting from in kindergarten bench for more than 50 years.

Headquartered on Jalan Drs Yap Tjwan Bing Jagalan No. 15 Jebres, Surakarta, they conducted exercises three times a week. From this routine exercise, the Tripusaka group has won various national awards and has even entered the top 10 best lion dance teams in Southeast Asia.
