Soloevent.id – Solo Great Sale (SGS) 2018 will be held in February, was inaugurated on Sunday (1/28/2018) at the Ngarsopuro car free day area. Taking the theme “Cultural Glory” with the tagline “Belanja Cerdas Tanpa Batas (Smart Shopping without Limits)”, there will be followed by tenants and give more discounts.
Chairperson of the Solo Great Sale 2018 Committee, Gareng S. Haryanto, said there were 5,000 participating tenants. This figure increased from the previous year which was only 2,500 tenants. The SGS committee gives free administration for booth that wanted to join.
“As the offering of the Mayor, 44 traditional markets were also included,” said the man who also served as Chairman of the Solo Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin). Joining tenants will give discounts up to 80 percent.
After fourth times have been hold, the committee targets that will be 40,000 SGS cards spread then the buying and selling transactions reaching 400 billion Rupiah.
The Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, was present and inaugurated the Great Sale 2018 Solo by hitting gong as a sign of opening the event. Then, it is continued with a carnival followed by dozens of tenants consisting of hotels, restaurants, malls and traditional markets in Solo. Solo Great Sale 2018 will take place from 1-28 February. Later at closing, the committee will draw all the transaction points that enter the SGS 2018 list in a lucky draw. The prizes include five motorcycle units, tour packages, various electronic devices, and one housing unit as the main prize.
As a solution to face the low season, SGS 2018 is also accompanied by various events in Solo throughout February, such as Grebeg Sudiro, Solo Imlek Festival, Culture Carnival of the 273th Anniversary of Solo, Computer Bazaar, and others.
