Soloevent.id – Lunar New Year Celebration 2570/2019 will be held in Solo soon. “Unity in Diversity” was chosen as this year’s theme. According to the Chairman of Bersama Solo Imlek 2570/2019 Committee Sumartono Hadinoto, the theme was chosen to show that Chinese New Year celebrations were not only owned by Chinese, but had been expanded by inviting all communities.
“Imlek belongs to people of Solo. This event has an economic impact and becomes a branding and can bring tourists to Solo. This is proof that Solo is a complex city and reflects diversity,” he explained at a press conference at Gedung Perkumpulan Masyarakat Surakarta on Saturday (1/19/2019).

Lantern lighting
Date: January 28 – February 28
Lantern Pasar Gede is one of the attractions of Chinese New Year celebrations in Solo. This time, 5.000 lanterns will decorate the City Hall area to Pasar Gede. The committee also installed a Chinese gate, 12 zodiac lanterns, 12 zodiac neon boxes, zodiac pig lanterns, Dewa Rezeki lanterns, and Punakawan lanterns.
Blood donors

Grebeg Sudiro Carnival
