Soloevent.id – On Sunday (03/10/2019) seems to be a happy day for metalheads in Solo. They can have fun with Down For Life at the Barbarian Party.
This fifth of the Barbarian Party is becoming a crowd. That night, around 14 thousand people (based on audience registration data) went to Vastenburg Fortress.
Metalheads, who are mostly young people, are also invited to use their voting rights in the upcoming elections, April 17, 2019.
So, the theme of this event was Vote Louder. “There are so many young voters. They have such a big role, so we use that theme. We do not campaign for you to choose pair number 01 or 02, but here we invite young people to choose their own future,” said Down For Life vocalist Stephanus Adjie during a press conference at Halo Solo on Saturday (03/09/2019).
This concert is free, but on the entrance ticket, the audience must sign the “100% IN” petition made by We the Youth. The anti-abstention petition is short for “100% Indonesia Nyoblos”.
In line with the theme, many bands voiced their anxiety about the General Election. One of them is Seringai. Through his vocalist, Arian13 warned that not only was the Presidential Election important, but the Legislative Election was. The emergence of the Draft Law was one of them.
“Have you read the RUU of music? It hasn’t been canceled. This must be escorted until canceled,” said Arian. The vocalist who often appears with the bandana then invites metalheads to shout “RUU Permusikan, Batalkan”. After the speech, Seringai played Omong Kosong, Lagu Ini Tak Sependek Jalan Pikiranmu, dan You Suffer a cover from Napalm Death.
Jasad, the band which performed at two major metal music festivals in Europe reminded them to avoid digitalization of hatred. “Whatever the choices just respect it, not confront. Use social media to socialize. “That choice comes out of the heart, not through social media,” said vocalist Jasad, Man.
