Soloevent.id – Solo 24 Jam Menari is event everybody wants to watch. This year, the grand dance performance will be held again at the Indonesian Art Institute (ISI) Surakarata, April 29-30 2019. The most glamorous celebration of World Dance Day is celebrated every April 29th.
How far the preparation is? On Thursday (04/18/2019), Solo 24 Jam Menari Event Coordinator R. Danang Cahyo explained that the preparation of this event had reached 75%.
Until this news was written, there were 191 participants who were confirmed to appear, such as dance, whether it was traditional dance, folk art, children’s performance, or modern dance.
“Gegara Menari” is theme that brought for this event. There will be many young people whom join it and they will get educated not only on the traditional side, but also on innovation and creativity.
Same as before, this event will show dancers dancing for a whole day. There will be six dancers who doing it. They will dance from 6.00 a.m. on April 29 to 6.00 a.m. the next day.
“There are 2 dancers from Solo who are teaching staff at ISI Surakarta, 1 from Kalimantan, 1 from Yogyakarta, 1 from Bali, and 1 from Bandung. Each of these dancers will present their works, “said Danang.
The 24-hour dancer will be accompanied by a monitoring team that will monitor their condition for 24 hour. The team checks the physical condition, training schedule, and body intensity.

Solo Menari Chairperson 2019 Eko Supriyanto aka Eko Pece said the theme “Gegara Menari” because dance can build unity and harmony in Indonesia.
