Soloevent.id – One Hour for Earth or commonly called Earth Hour is celebrated all over the world every March 30. The campaign initiated by the World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF) invites people to care about the climate and the sustainability of the earth by putting out lights or electronic equipment for one hour (20.30-21.30).
Alila Solo Hotel will participate in the activity. This year’s celebration was held with a different concept, namely “Back to Tempoe Doloe”. This theme offers a unique experience, ranging from night lighting that will only use a torch, public lights, and can lights, to feel the pleasure of eating a menu on a mat or antique chairs. The presentation of food will be packaged in a simple manner resembling a traditional market in the past. The visitors will be accompanied by gamelan and fire dance music.
This earth preservation action is also carried out by lighting hundreds of torches at Largo Poolside which is located on the 6th floor of Alila Solo Hotel starting at 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. With IDR 188 thousand per person, the whole series of events can be enjoyed.
Alila’s actions to care for the environment did by forming a Green Team. The team consisting of all levels of the Alila Solo Hotel has activities to reduce, reuse, re-take garbage into objects that can be used and not use plastic waste.
“In this special moment, Alila Solo Hotel hopes that all guests staying and residents of Solo and surrounding areas can participate and enjoy all events,” said Assistant Manager & Event Marketing Alila Solo Hotel Tesa Pujiastuti at a press conference on Monday (18/ 3/2019).
At the Agra Rooftop on the 29th floor also had an exciting event. There will be a Hangout Party in collaboration with national DJs, namely DJ Yasmin, DJ Freya, DJ Danti, and DJ Putri Danizar. The program can be enjoyed with IDR 95 thousand.
