The committee of Lunar Year 2570/2019 will also set 12 shio lanterns, neon box 12 shio, Pig Shio lanterns, God of Rezeki lanterns, and Punakawan lanterns. Some lantern will take from Malang, East Java.
It will be different from last year. This time, the lantern will be set only in BRI office till Solo City Hall. It is because the revitalization of Jl. Jend Sudirman.
But, don’t be sad. You still can find the selfie area at Pasar Gede. This lantern will be flamed at 6:00 p.m. till midnight. They will check the lantern on 27 January at the night.
The chief of Bersama Imlek 2570/2019 Sumartono Hadinoto, stated that the matched title from this year is “Persatuan dalam Keberagaman (Unity in Diversity)”. “Lunar Year is already sticks with Solo citizen. This Event shows Solo is complex city that reflect diversity,” he said at the Gedung Perkumpulan Masyarakat Surakarta, on Saturday (19/1/2019).
Not only lantern, the Lunar Year will be enlived with various events, follows Grebeg Sudiro, Solo Imlek Fair, kirab barongsai, and etc. “In Cap Go Meh celebration, we will invite Sinta Nuriyah Wahid for giving speech of nationality concept,” he said.
