Soloevent.id – In the framework of the final semester 1 assignment, 63 students from 2018 Photography at the Indonesian Art Institute (ISI) Surakarta held a photography exhibition themed “Nyawiji” in the Taman Budaya Jawa Tengah, Monday-Tuesday (14-15 / 1/2019).
The photos in this exhibition illustrate the social, economic and cultural conditions in the community. Taking pictures using basic photography techniques, such as selective focus, silhouette, slow action, bulb, narrow dof, broad dof, front light, and others. Visitors who do not understand photography can learn from this exhibition. The names of basic photography techniques and camera settings when taking pictures are listed below the photo.
Some of them are Pashadeno Twilight who photographed a golden Buddha statue using the front light technique. Then there is also a photo of the waterfall taken by M. Zuhdi R using the slow action technique.
In total there are 126 works on display at the event. This photo exhibition also displays 65 3R size photos taken using film rolls.
The Chair of the Committee “Nyawiji” Muhammad Ikbar Nur Kholiq Cahyono said the theme was chosen to unite the characteristics of each photographer. “Each photographer has a different character,” he explained when met by Soloevent on Monday.
