Soloevent.id – Solo car free day (CFD) on Sunday (02/18/2018) looks more vibrant than usual days with two events, namely the Boyong Kedhaton Kirab and the colossal dance performance “Adheging Kuta Sala”. The two events were held to commemorate the anniversary of Solo, which hit 273 years.
The procession of Kirong Boyong Kedhaton crossed along Jalan Slamet Riyadi which started from Sriwedari Stadium and ended at Solo City Hall.
A total of 750 participants participated in the carnival. They consist of 13 groups. The parade group was opened by a convoy of participants carrying a replica of the boyong kedhaton in the form of a pendapa joglo house. Then nine bergodo troop groups or Surakarta Kasunanan Palace forces marched behind him.
The next line was a group from Sriwedari Puppet People, followed by Solo City Paskibra, and dancer Soeryo Soemirat.
In addition there are also from the Education and Culture Office of Sragen, drumband Gita Pamong Praja, PDAM Jaga Tirta, the bicycle community onthel, liong and lion dance from Dalmas Sat Sabhara Polresta Surakarta, Pesona Nusantara, the group of Solo KPU, and the last group from the Sri Jagannath Community Yogyakarta ( Krisna).
The parade participants were not only from Solo, but also from the surrounding areas of Sragen and Yogyakarta. “These two events were held in order to create an atmosphere of solidarity in the unity of the nation and state,” said Head of the Solo Cultural Office, Kinkin Sultanul Hakim, in his remarks. This statement is in line with the theme raised, namely “Solidarity in Diversity”.
After crossing the CFD area, participants of the Boyong Kedhaton Kirab became the closing part of the colossal dance “Adheging Kutha Sala” which was held in the General Sudirman corridor.
