Soloevent.id – Raden Ajeng (R.A.) Kartini is an Indonesian feminist. Every April 21, her born day, many cities in Indonesia celebrate with various events.
Solo is one of them. Malls in Solo have many agendas to enliven Kartini Day. Here is a list of activities.
- Hartono Mall Solo
The mall located in Solo Baru holds a unique competition, namely the Jamu Gendong Fashion Show Competition, which has millions of Rupiah prizes.
The event was held in April 21, 2019. It is starting at 1.00 – 4.00 p.m. at the Atrium Hartono Mall Solo.
- The Park Mall
The Park Mall shares vouchers on Kartini Day. The event was themed “Kartini in Your Version”. Just follow Instagram @theparksolo_official, upload 1-minute video about Kartini in your version, don’t forget to mention the @theparksolo_official account and mention 5 friends, then use hashtag #theparkmall #kartiniday #kartinithepark.
This giveaway takes place from April 16-23 2019. The winners will be announced on April 26, 2019 via the The Park Mall Instagram account. The winners will get one voucher staying at Alila Solo, dinner voucher for 2 people, and swimming voucher for 3 people.
- Solo Grand Mall
On April 11, 2019, it held a Kartini Day event titled Kartini Bersama Puri Mandiri. However, on the 21st of April, Solo Grand Mall will celebrate Kartini Day with the Surakarta branch of Indonesian Kindergarten Teachers. The event starts at 10.00 a.m.
- Solo Square
Solo Square also held several activities to welcome Kartini Day and Easter. The event will take place from 18-22 April 2019, along with the full agenda.
- April 18, 2019: Paud Bina Bangsa held a collage contest, coloring, drawing, decorating eggs, flash mob and egg hunting, cooking demos from Tupperware, and fashion shows from Expose M
- April 19, 2019: cooking class from Bonanza, Music School Perform from Crisnada Music Course, talkshow “Peranan Wanita di Dunia Fotografi” with Kompakers, and contemporary fashion shows from FS Models.
- April 20, 2019: batik workshop by Ndalem Gondosuli, craft workshop with Community Crafter Soloraya, and show & dance fashion from Make Over.
- April 21, 2019: competition for decorating and coloring eggs by Global Art, music performances from Rhythm Star Music School, and a fashion show competition by Ndalem AW.
- April 22, 2019: the traditional fashion show from TK Bintang Bangsa and music performed by Carmesha Music School.
- Transmart Pabelan
Transmart Pabelan Kartasura also held a special Kartini Day event, Kartini bersama Himpunan Pendidik dan Tenaga Kependidikan Anak Usia Dini Indonesia (Himpaudi) Kartasura, on Monday, April 8, 2019.
