Soloevent.id – “It’s different from last year, which only relies on puppet costumes packed in the form of carnivals. For this year we will add collaboration between the concept of carnival and performing performances,” said Bambang Surendro, Coordinator of the Solo Carnaval 2014 when met at the Surakarta City Culture and Tourism Agency. Saturday (11/1).
The series of events queued ahead of the 268th Solo City anniversary celebration, a number of activities will be packaged differently from last year. One of them is the holding of the 2014 Solo Carnaval which will be held on 16 February. The Solo Carnaval event is in third place in the sequence of the Solo City Anniversary event.
The holding of the 2014 Solo Carnaval this time was considered to be more vibrant and interesting. The event which has become the agenda of Solo City will be held at night.
“In accordance with the wishes of the Deputy Mayor FX Hadi Rudyatmo that the holding of the 2014 Solo Carnaval this time must be different from last year and he wants this event to be held at night,” said Mr. Bambang.
This year’s exhibition carries the theme “Darmaning Satriya”. Which means that someone who works doesn’t expect anything from other people.
“The message that you want to convey is that as a human being, whatever duties and positions do not apply with tendencies or expectations, doing something must be sincere especially if it is for the benefit of many people,” he said.
This Carnaval will be followed by 1,000 participants. They will take routes ranging from the junction of Jalan Bhayangkara to Solo City Hall. “It is planned that this event will be attended by all elements of society, from schools, studios to art communities in the city of Solo,” he explained.
