Soloevent.id – The sunlight will not hamper the students to dance Jaranan at Sriwedari Plaza, On Friday (26/4/2019). Their face looks really pleasant for that. This morning, they had run through for Solo Menari 2019.
This event is to celebrate the World Dance Day on 29 April. Solo City Government will praise the World Dance Day with a flashmob. There will be 5.000 participants who dance Jaranan.
They will practice more than one time to make sure it will be perfect. One of the coordinator from SMP N 2 Surakarta Margantoro, said that his student had practiced since March. They give treatment use video of Jaranan dance and do it practically.
“There are 116 students from SMP N 2 of VII grade. In each class, we only take 10-15 students. For costume and makeup will bid from school. We are confident to join this event because we already join this event in the last year,” he said.
Solo Menari 2019 will be held in Sriwedari Plaza on Monday (29/4/2019), start from 1:00 p.m. Jaranan dance works from dance Lecturer of Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Surakarta, S. Pamardi.
Gavin Atalah Danindra, a student from SMP N 4 Surakarta, said that he has no difficulties to bring this traditional dance. “I already practice it in this month and I am happy that I can perform this Jaranan dance with my friend,” he said while taking a break from the run through.
