Soloevent.id – Solo will host the IV National Cat Water Indonesia Painting Community Exhibition (Kolcai). Since its founding in 2012, Kolcai has held National Exhibition three times, namely in 2013 (Roemah Sarasvati, Bandung), 2014 (Bentara Budaya Bali), and 2016 (Gallery Gryia Santrian, Bali).
The fourth edition of the exhibition will take place at Bentara Budaya Soedjatmoko Hall, 14-20 July 2018. “Cinta Warna Indonesia” was chosen as the theme of the event. Later, the works created by the painters showcase various cultural heritage of Indonesian culture.
“This theme is intended as a celebration of the diversity of expressions of art, especially watercolor, which summarizes the various sources of multicultural Indonesian cultural traditions,” wrote Bentara Budaya Balai Soedjatmoko in a press release.
IV Community National Exhibition Paint Water Indonesia paintings will be followed by 92 artists from various cities in Indonesia plus 2 watercolor painters in the Asian region. There are more than 90 works that will be exhibited.
This event will be filled with various activities, such as joint painting at Loji Gandrung, workshop at Seodjatmoko Hall, watercolor workshop at Megaland Hotel and Soedjatmoko Hall, Kolcai 2018 award presentation, and others.
The opening of the exhibition took place on July 13 2018 at 7:30 p.m. Mayor of Solo, F.X. Hadi Rudyatmo, planned to open this exhibition. The opening of the exhibition will be enlivened by JNS video mapping and Amourest Harmony.
Through National Exhibition, Community Paint Water Indonesia paints want to accommodate the spirit of watercolor painting lovers. If in the past watercolors had been marginalized, now it has begun to appear and be lifted up again in the Indonesian art world.
