Chief Executive of the Indonesian Umbrella Festival 2019 Heru Prasetya told Soloevent that the participants come from Klaten, Tasikmalaya, Kendal, Jogja, and Bali. There are also craftsmen from abroad, such as Thailand, Vietnam, China, Pakistan, and several Asian countries.
The Indonesian Umbrella Festival 2019 also collaborates with creative arts communities that explore their creativity through umbrellas. Among the Indonesian Knitting Community, Perca Nusantara, and many more.
Heru collab with them because he wants to educate the visitor about the archipelago’s cultural heritage, umbrellas (Payung).
FPI also featured by musical performances, dances, fashion shows, and others. “The Umbrella Festival is umbrella preservation and celebration as an archipelago culture through expressive creativity,” Heru explained on Wednesday (6/12/2019).
